NRDMS Programme is the geospatial technology based which aims at promoting R&D for solving area specific problems. NRDMS is supporting seven sub programmes like 1. State Data Infrastructure (State SDIs) 2. Health Geographic Information Science (HGIS), 3. Village Information System (VIS), 4. Revival of Village Ponds, 5. Landslide forewarning System, 6. Large Scale Geological and Geotechnical Mapping from Rishikesh to Kedarnath in Uttarakhand and 7. National Geotechnical Facility. Along with it this scheme is Supporting three new initiatives namely 1. Indo-US Space Borne Gravity Observation Collaboration, 2. Geodesy (Developing geoid model of the country), 3. Coastal Hazard and Risk Assessment
