The aim of the programme is to enhance aquaculture production, productivity and development of useful products and processes from marine resources for the benefit of the society. The department has made concerted efforts towards developing newer diagnostics and therapeutics, improvement in aqua feed, developing novel cell lines etc. through the adoption of molecular tools and techniques.
