Programmes & Schemes

ICMR provides Research Fellowship and Associateships (SRF/RA) to bright young scientists to carry out research in the field of biomedical research under expert guidance of Scientists/Faculty members at Permanent Research Institutes/Centres of ICMR, other Biomedical research institutes, Medical Colleges and Universities in India. For the SRF and RA proposals are invited periodically. The same are evaluated by Project Review Committee (PRC') consisting of subject area experts, subsequently a yearly review is done by the PRCs to access the progress and quali!y of work and based on this review further extension and upgrades are done.

For SRF:- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process in any one of the following with two year of research experience: a). Scholars who arc selected through National Eligibility Tests · - CSIR-UGC, NET. including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. B). The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, lJRT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, lCAR, ICMR. llT, llSc, llSER, etc. For RA:- Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSC/M.Pharm/ME/M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal
