About
This project is to make two major contributions: First, generate publications in top-tier Computer Vision and Machine Learning conferences and Conservation Ecology journals. Second, the system, in the form of a software package will be integrated with systems that the Wildlife Institute of India uses for completing the national tiger census. The code will be open-sourced and released to the public, however, the trained models will not be open to the public and will be handed over to the owners of the training data, in this case, the appropriate division of the Govt. of India (National Tiger Conservation Authority and Wildlife Institute of India).
