About
The Fall Armyworm (FAW) has caused significant crop damage and economic loss in various regions, including South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, China, and Australia. Despite the use of chemical pesticides, nanotechnology has shown promising results in controlling pests and enhancing crop yield. A proposed study aims to develop algal-based nano-biopesticides that provide added nutritional benefits and pesticidal potency for targeted maize crops. The project will focus on easy accessibility for local farmers and serve as a template for future eco-friendly algae-based nano-pesticide formulations. The study will also involve documentation, dissemination of inferences, and collaboration with state agencies for training local farmers.
