The project aims to equip women farmers in Tribal Villages of Aspiration Gadchiroli District, Maharashtra with technological tools to promote sustainable food production. The project aims to ensure continuity of organic farming practices and information dissemination, and to establish SPARSH as a relevant and well-organized organization. The project involves mobilizing women farmers, training them in composting and kitchen gardening, and facilitating group-work and skills-handing over to the community. The project aims to improve food and nutrition security, particularly in the face of climate change, and contribute to socio-economic progress.

The Gadchiroli block farmers in Maharashtra have been overly reliant on paddy rice, leading to soil erosion, environmental degradation, and food insecurity. The project aims to promote sustainable organic agriculture, using local resources and skills to build soil fertility, provide safe food, and protect natural ecosystems. The project will involve farm resource management, composting, and family kitchen gardening to improve soil fertility and nutrition. The project will be implemented in the tribal-dominated Gadchiroli district, aiming to create a socially-economic, environmentally conscious, and sustainable rural community.
