Project Overview

The Smart Indigenous Cooling Chamber aims to provide farmers with a convenient way to store and transport vegetables after harvesting, regulating temperature and humidity using an IoT-based controller. The chamber uses indigenous knowledge of evaporative cooling to reduce dependency on electricity and support low-income farmers. It also encourages the cultivation of seasonal vegetables with high demand, increasing farmers' annual income. The methodology involves several milestones, including community engagement, concept generation, prototype development, user testing, product deployment, and community training.

The project involves interacting with farmers in Moinabad Mandal, identifying their problems, and developing a solution that meets their criteria and constraints. The prototype will be tested at two levels, with results provided to students for final changes before deployment in the community. A user manual will be prepared in Telugu to guide community members and provide skill training for regular maintenance. The solution will be deployed in Moinabad Mandal, along with a user manual and training for a few community members. The chamber will be covered with a canopy of grass straws and a smart indigenous cooling chamber.
