Project Overview
The proposal aims to develop an affordable self-propelling straw harvester integrated baler machine and seeding vehicle to efficiently harvest stubble, compress it into easy-to-transport bales, and seed simultaneously. The proposed system will include a stubble cutting mechanism, a seeding vehicle system, an autonomous smart soil health monitoring, moisturizing, and seeding system, and a dynamic model for overseeing operations. The system will also establish security and safety protocols, and real-time soil state analysis for monitoring stubble condition and seeding processes. The consortium partners with FarmOn Agristack Pvt. Ltd., a pioneer in autonomous system development for farms and soil and plant health monitoring, to develop an autonomous framework for controlling operations. The proposed system will be modular, capable of using both seasonal crops and stand-alone units. Key deliverables include developing a dynamic model for operations, developing an autonomous smart soil health monitoring, moisturizing, and seeding system, raising awareness about stubble production, and obtaining certification for centralized farm machinery performance testing.
