Project Overview

The study aims to study decomposition kinetics and precision delivery systems for selected bacterial and fungal strains, develop ultra low volume microbial liquid concentrates, and validate and evaluate the efficacy of developed formulations for precise deposition to accelerate agricultural residue decomposition. The study will involve evaluating the growth kinetics, hydrolytic potential, and effects of pH, temperature, and other factors on the enzyme activity and stability of the selected strains. The study will also investigate the dynamics of bio-formulated microbes with native microbial communities in experimental fields.

The development of ultra low volume microbial liquid concentrates will involve optimizing conditions for sporulation and multiplication of effective microbes, testing the compatibility of selected microbes for bioformulations, and developing bench-scale knowhow for delivery systems with enhanced shelf life and viability. The study will also assess the quality parameters and bioefficacy of bioformulations under different storage conditions.

The study will also validate and evaluate the efficacy of the developed formulation for precise deposition to accelerate agricultural residue decomposition, including developing precision delivery systems, optimizing the inoculum dose for accelerated decomposition, and partnering with industry partners to design and simulate devices for up-scaling the ultra-low liquid formulation.
