About
The present invention involves the development of a smart robotic gripper by integrating the 5×4 array of fringing field based capacitive sensors (CAPSENSAR) with its gripper palm for performing the cognitive gripping of arbitrary shaped delicate object, which contributes to the advancement in the field of robotics. The work describes a method of slippage free damage controlled safe cognitive gripping using a smart robotic gripper by determining the flattest gripping face of the target object through its shape estimation and subsequently gripping the object with controlled gripping force at that flat face.
