Outcome / Output
In the first step the crude wax is upgraded by removing the oil and resinous matter selectively using an organic solvent. The upgraded wax is further bleached chemically to obtain odorless light yellow wax with the following specifications: M.P: 78-80C, AV, 0-5 (depending on AV of crude Wax); SV, 75-90; IV: 8-15. The color of the bleached wax depends on the quality of the crude rice bran wax.
