These crops need transplanting and a raised bed former cum transplanter has been developed for transplanting these crops. Field capacity is 1.2 ha/day. The weeder is suitable for crops grown on raised bed. The weeding is done in between rows and furrows. Field capacity is 0.5 ha./hr. It will be also possible to mechanically spray the raised bed crop by using tractor operated sprayers as the tractor can enter the field till crop is upto 60 cm height.
