The kit is simple to operate can be used by illiterate farmer in the field without any lab facilities as long as there is clean water. It involves crushing the leaf sample to get a few drops of sap which can be collected in a tube into which the stick coated with regents is dipped followed by dipping in detection regent and detection substrate. A positive and a negative control are included for reliability of the results. Washing of the dip stick in clean water are intermediary steps for which clean water can also be included in the kit. ELISA format is for the researcher and semi quantitative and quantitative estimations can be done
