The plant developed by IMMT can treat both low grade ore of ~ 16% Cr2O3 to obtain ~ 46 to 48% Cr2O3 at 20 to 24% yield. The plant is also dovetailed with flotation circuit to recover chromite from the slimes, which is first of its kind in India / abroad.
