A novel device of fluidized bed reactor was designed for the treatment of wastewater. This improved design facilitates the generation of very less quantity of sludge. Further, the problems of chocking of pipe line, are completely eliminated in the new reactor device. The act of fluidization maintains uniform mixing of carbon catalyst immobilized with microorganisms throughout the reactor volume for effective wastewater treatment.
