Considering the opportunity, CSIR-IHBT has developed various value added products such as : 1. Seabuckthorn beverage , 2. Bakery products , 3. Jellies(Seabuckthorn mixed fruit jelly) , 4. Instant energy/Gel/Powder/Tablets/Drinks , 5. Cordial , fruit syrup, concentrate . The products find application in food, beverage and nutraceutical industry. The technology utilizes cost-effective processes ideal for farmers produce organizations (FPOs), self-help groups (SHGs) and MSMEs.
