Candle is commonly used as common light sources. The candle has already an established market. Candle having mosquito repellent properties will serve as light source as well as also repel mosquitoes. Easily available non-toxic plants are used as ingredients for the mosquito repellent property. On burning, the candle emits pleasant fragrance along with the light and the fragrance keep mosquito out from the room. Mosquito repellent candle is another product developed by CSIR-NEIST which is effective in repelling mosquitoes and as well as produces subtle fragrance while burning.
