Plasma pyrolysis technology is developed for the safe disposal of biomedical waste of capacities 15 kg/hr and 50 kg/ hr in an environment friendly manner. The high temperature in a plasma torch disintegrates biomedical waste into smaller molecules such as methane, CO, hydrogen etc. The gases formed are combusted in the secondary chamber at 1200oC and subsequently quenched. The technology safely disposes biomedical waste and all emissions including dioxins and furans remain well under the standards set by CPCB/MOEF & CC and US EPA.
