Implementing Organization
Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI)
About
A process of removal of chemical surfactants from wastewater to enhance compatibility with membrane separation processes. It consists of immobilization of bacterial lipases in functionalised nano porous activated carbon. An immobilized matrix for the hydrolysis of chemical surfactants present in the biological treated wastewater.
Outcome / Output
Low foot print requirement
, Low electrical energy consumption
, No odour emission
, Low operation cost
, Minimum sludge production
, No secondary pollutant emission
, Ground water contamination is avoided
, Recycling treated wastewater
