Bacosides from plant Bacopa monniera are found to be effective for improvement of memory. Bacosides are isolated from whole dried plant in 4% w/w yield. An epimeric mixture has been standardized. Bacosides significantly enhance protein synthesis in those regions of the brain, which are implicated in the memory formation. It was found to be safe, well tolerated and did not produce any side effect.
