A process for preparing curcumin encapsulated chitosan alginate sponge useful for wound healing : curcumin (a naturally occurring phytochemical derives from the rhizome of Curcuma longa) has been demonstrated its efficacy to cure various inflammatory and oxidative stress related disease including wound healing. However, the intrinsic problem associated with curcumin delivery is its extremely low solubility in aqueous solution; which limits its bioavailability and clinical efficacy.
