About

In this project we will design and synthesize 10-100 nm size colloidal nanoparticle that would clear toxic protein aggregates from cell by regulating the cellular autophagy processes. The nanoparticle would be composed of inorganic component and anti-amyloidogenic molecule where autophagy would be induced by inorganic component or anti-amyloidogenic molecule. Designed nanoparticle would enhance the lysozomal degradation of toxic protein aggregates, clear them from cell and lowers the cytotoxicity of arising of protein aggregates. The investigation would involve preparation of designed nanoparticle, study of clearance of protein aggregates from cell and lowering of protein aggregate-induced cytotoxicity by designed nanoparticle. This study would be useful to design nanodrug that would offer for treatment of protein aggregation related neurodegenerative diseases.
