About
This proposal outlines the development of novel synthetic methodologies for the construction of wide variety of polyheterocyclic scaffolds with biological relevance. Furthermore, these strategies will be very useful for the elegant synthesis of various interesting molecular architectures such as tetrahydrospirochromenopyrroloquinoline indolinone derivatives, tricyclic / tetracyclic benzofuropyrrolizines, benzofuropyrroles, benzofuroindolizines and benzofuropyrrolothiazole scaffolds, benzofuro / indolino fused tricyclic frameworks, chromeno pyrazolopyrazolo pyranopyridinone, chromeno[4,3-b]pyrroles, benzofuro[3,2-b]pyrroles, thiopyranochromenyl / thiopyranoquinolinyl phosphonate motifs, thiazolo benzofuropyrimidine / benzochromenopyrimidine derivatives, chromenopyranopyrroloisoquinolines / quinolinopyranopyrroloisoquinolines, fused pyranobenzofuran / thiopyranobenzofuran / benzofurothiazine scaffolds, chromeno[4,3-b]pyridine / tetrahydrobenzofuro[3,2-b]pyridine, benzo[b,d]furan and benzo[c]chromene scaffolds etc. It is important to mention that there is no report available in the literature for accessing these types of compounds. Furthermore, all the proposed compounds will be confirmed with stereochemistry and will be studied for their biological activities. We believe that all the proposed compounds will have various biological activities since it contains various pharmacophore units in their scaffolds.
